I DID IT! 450k Goal Reached.

MADE IT!

Mushy St Pats.

Spring like conditions nearly 50. No jacket, just a fleece. Knees are S O R E.

Lots of Jane trail early, FIRST CHAIR.

Cannonball, Phantom Bridge, Long Haul, Coupler, Sluce Box, etc.

Even got hit on by a couple of cougars, and Pepperonis was open!

ST Pats Ski Day! Getting Lucky on Friday the 13th.
Awesome day, sunny and soft. Great turnout, awesome space in lot and killer brats.

Pete and John apparently do not understand the meaning of Mary Jane Base. Skied down to the base. Cost me two runs, damn it.

Lines, Lines, everywhere theres lines.

Passed 350k today.

The lines were wicked. Eagle Wind, Panoramic Express were DOWN due to wind. Sunny Side was psycho up and down all day. The problem was so bad the lines were back to Pony express and the Singles line was back to the Goose.

Windy Windy Wendy Tuesday.

David and I got up on a Tuesday, yea! But the wind was fricken miserable.

We only did 9 runs, the wind was miserable. On our last chair we got stuck on the lift in 60 mph winds for 10 mins. It was freaky.

Sixteen Runs on Friday the 13th

Spent the day in fresh champagne powder, five-six inches of it.

Jedd, Bruce and Eric all bailed, so i skied alone :-(, but I got a lot more runs in! ;-)

Not nearly as crowded on the mountain as the parking lot indicated. Only made 14th Chair, I barley waited in any lines, got a private chair twice.

Cut clean tracks for over an hour, back to back off the ridge of Parsenn's bowl.

Eagle Wind runs were killer. Great snow, and no one there.

Three Week Update

Its has been a bit since my last update.

I have skied Winter Park three times since the last post.

One day of 7" of powder that was uncrowded because the site only posted .5". Is snowed so much in the day that Jedd and I often found our tracks to be snowed in when we passed a second time.

I got upside down in a tree well and it took a bit to dig out.

11 Runs - 19,450 Verts STD: 244,620

Bruce came up for a day of playing hooky. Got ten quick runs in. Sunny but the conditions were soft.

10 runs - 16,711 Verts STD: 261,331

SKI TRAIN DAY - TWENTY RUNS

Rode up with the Lawfirm on the ski train, got three runs in with Scot. Made a big vertical feet dent, with twenty runs.

Week of Jan 12th, 2008

1/14 - Night Skiing at Echo with David.
They were making snow, and with the lights David and I had a blast.

1/16 - Mary Jane and Eagle Wind - Spring Skiing with Jedd in January.

Absolutely Gorgeous Day. Snow was still soft, even though it was sunny. Not the bullet proof ice we expected.
Eagle had rocks up top, but was nice in the tight trees. Jedd dropped in a tree well, but he is still with us.

1/2/09 - Day After New Years
Bruce and David came up. All hard pack, so spent the day on blue cruisers. Did Arrowhead, Mary Jane Trail and Sunny Side all day.

The resort was packed, and after our slices and beers the line at Super Gauge was to the Pony and the singles line to the goose. WOW! This is why we get up early.

1/9/09 Jedd Joins
FIVE inches of Powder! Was a great day. Spent lots of time flirting with trees and bombing the pow pow.

Jedd is out of shape, I looked pretty good for once.

Did 11 runs, plus Peps.
Great Day, best this Season.

1/10/09 TWO RUNS OPEN AT ECHO
A cold and windy morning on Mt. Evans. Fortunately new snow and man made fluff allowed Echo to open, wait for it, a SECOND RUN. It was groomed and pretty nice compared to the glorified ice rink I have been skiing all year.
Beat my laptime new time to beat: 5:58
